Hasan Askar's Dil Paraye Des Mian (2013) Released - 1st March 2013

Hasan Askari's New Movie "Dil Paraye Des Mian" is Released in Cinemas on 1st March 2013, Starring Sami Khan & Huma Ali.

Hasan Askari Famous for his Patriotic themed Films have once again bring the India-Pakistan Saga after Jannat Ki Talaash (1999) & Diamond Jubliee Film Tere Pyar Mein (2000).

Jannat Ki Talaash (1999) Which was not a Box Office Success but a Must Watchable Movie, Based on the Partition and a Girl name Salma (Played by Resham) and her struggle from India to Newly Made PAKSITAN.

Tere Pyar Mein (2000) which was a Box Office Success and Completed Diamond Jubilee, 109 weeks (Gulistan 30, Sozoworld 15, Capital 7, Rattan 4 weeks). Ran continuously more than one year in Lahore and became first Urdu film that ran for more than one year.

The story of Tere Pyar Mein is about a young Indian Sikh girl Preety played by Zara Sheikh, who goes to the historical city of Lahore, Pakistan for pilgrimage with her father. She falls in love with a Pakistani boy named Ali (Shaan) who is a banker and also her dad's friend's son. Later on conflict was irrupted between Ali (Shaan) and Preeti’s (Zara Sheikh) Cousin who is in Indian Army when Ali Visits India to meet Preeti.

Hasan Askari’s Latest Flick which is Released on 1stMarch 2013, Trailer of the film shows that it is based on India-Pakistan Conflict in background of Kashmir. The Trailer of the Film is not as Good as the Director Status and Last of his Quality works is seen. Some of the Effects like Blast looks very cheap and the lot of cut/paste scenes looks like from Holly Flicks. The Song and Film Print is also not Par but Better than lot of Films of Past.

At Last I will say that go and watch the movie as it is a Pakistani Film a Pakistani Product, There is a long way to go and I hope in Future we will make some good movies and will revive our Cinema.

Siyaah – Horror in the Dark?

With a dark, sharp, contrast-y, palette (with a striking dash of highlighted magenta) Siyaah (‘Pitch black’),looks the part of those routine “Friday-night” horror movies at the US box-office.

It is a smart choice, since the “routine” should work quite well in its favor, because convention and commercial convention, at that – is perhaps the best bet Pakistani cinema has at the moment.

Siyaah (not to be confused by another “Siyaah”), is – as its Producers say – “a classic tale of a modern family haunted by their own disbeliefs”, a “skin-crawling punch of horror which will leave you squealing with fear and anxiety”.

From what footage is cut-into its promotion, a young girl is possessed by the supernatural (gnashing teeth, scruffy hair, growling voice of evil, defiance of Sir Issac Newton’s exceptionally-obvious breakthrough). Of course, disbelieving adults will follow suit soon enough.

From its teaser and final trailer, which Producer Imran Raza Kazmi, the film renders a mash-up of popular horror lore (The Exorcist  and The Possession)  with a psychological tilt. Its lead actress, Hareem Farooq says at one point:

“You should believe in the devil, because he believes in you” (a line, rephrased from Constantine, though it is said with solemn originality by Ms. Farooq.

While Ms. Farooq seems fine, it is obvious that the film will have amateur performances at regular intervals.

First time director Azfar Jafri has a solid grasp on his scenes, but it is far too early to see where Osman Khalid Butt’s screenplay (with a story by Mr. Kazmi, Yasir Hussain, Mr. Butt and Mr. Jafri; conceived by Zara Zaman Khan) will trip up.

To expect unadulterated freshness, is cruel to a debuting endeavor. However, by ambiance alone – and partly judging from the Sound Editing (the film’s Editing is by Sameer Hamdani and Mr. Jafri) – the product has half-sold its price of admission.

Siyaah, produced by IRK Film, releases on the 15th of March 2013 by Footprint Entertainment and Cinepax Cinemas.

Mohammad Kamran Jawaid is the Senior Film Critic for Images on Sunday and Dawn.com.

Veena Malik enters Guinness World Records by receiving 137 kisses on her hand in one minute

Mumbai: Controversial Pakistani actress Veena Malik has entered the Guinness World Records by receiving 137 kisses on her hand in one minute. She admits it is for the sake of her upcoming film 'The City That Never Sleeps'.

"I am a celebrity anyway and if you say that it is for publicity, ok, yeah, we need publicity for 'The City That Never Sleeps'," Veena said here Tuesday after breaking the earlier record set by Salman Khan of 108 kisses.

"We have to break 20 records for the film and this is one of the records," she added.

In 2011, Salman had got 108 kisses in a minute on a TV reality show 'Guinness World Record - Ab India Todega'.

It was Veena's birthday Feb 26 and the men were chosen through contest 'The City that Never Sleeps-Bollywood Hunt'.

"Long back we decided that I will break this record on my birthday and now we have to break 19 more records for 'The City That Never Sleeps'," Veena said.

"So if you call it publicity, then yes, it is for publicity. Films are for what? For publicity, right?"

When she was asked which Bollywood actor she wants to kiss on the screen, she said: "I would like to kiss the actor who does not like kissing on-screen and he is our 'Dabangg' Khan Salman Khan. I think that would be beautiful if we have a kiss on-screen."

‘Realistic’ role for bold Veena in Zindagi 50-50

MUMBAI: Pakistani actor Veena Malik says her role in Zindagi 50-50 is more realistic than bold.
“I think this character is realistic rather than bold. This is a true story of a girl and I have given more than my 100 percent, thanks to Madhuri, the character I am playing,” Veena said on Friday at the music launch of the film.
Veena plays Madhuri, a prostitute in the real-life inspired film. She even met the real prostitutes as part of her preparation for the role.
“I met her. Had I not met her, I would not have been able to play this character with such ease,” she said.
Meanwhile, Veena who has shown a keen interest in working with the Khans, said: “I love all three Khans, be it Aamir, Shahrukh or Salman. I would love to get a chance to work with them. But I think even if Veena Malik does not work with any of them, she will still remain Veena Malik.”
Zindagi 50-50 also features Riya Sen, Arya Babbar, Rajpal Yadav and Rajan Verma.

Humaima Malik, the only Film Star to Perform at HUM TV Awards 2013

With one major awards ceremony in the form of the Lux Style Awards already on the calendar as the hottest spot to be every year, we now have another. At a press conference held at their office in Karachi last week, Hum Network Limited announced that it will hold HUM Awards 2013 in Karachi during March.
This would be the first awards ceremony of this scale organized by the HUM Network with many stars and celebrities in attendance, including Humaima Malik. She will, in fact, be the only film star performing the new TV awards ceremony alongside Mika Singh.
This is a huge honour for Humaima and a testament to her growing talents and skill as an actress. Humaima, who made her transition from modeling to serious acting by her flawless acting skills as the star of an ensemble cast in Hum TV’s “Ishq Junoon Aur Deewangi” produced by Moomal Prodcutions and “Akbari-Asghari” produced by Six Sigma.
In between she acted in 5 other TV dramas which earned her national recognition because of her natural acting skills and love for the camera by the performances she displayed throughout. So it is indeed fitting for her to be centre stage at the ceremony of the network that helped launch her acting career.

Ali Zafar kisses Tapasee in the first scene of Chashme Baddoor

The popular Pakistani singer turned actor Ali Zafar whose performance in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Tere Bin Laden and London, Paris New York shot him to fame, will soon be seen in David Dhawan’s remake of the 1981 hit film Chashme Baddoor. Ali Zafar is almost ready with the film and the music of the film has also been launched recently. However, the first scene of this comedy movie took the actor by surprise. Let us see how and why.
This is the first time that the actor is working with the great king of comedy David Dhawan. While in an interview he revealed quite an amazing fact that took place during the shoot of the film. When he came to shoot for the first day and asked the director about his first scene, the director told him that he would have to kiss Tapasee Punnu, the lead actress in the first scene. This took him by great surprise. That was the first time that he was meeting Tapasee, and did not know her very well.
The trailer of the film has released all over. It introduces Ali as the ‘Seedha Larka’ and Tapasee as the ‘Pataka Haseena’. The movie also stars Pyar ka Punchnama newbie, Divyendu Sharma and the very popular Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth. The story is about three friends and has been taken from the old Chashme Badoor with a new style. Sai Paranjpye had re-written the entire script of the film, and Dhawan decided to direct it. With added spices and a whole new look the film has already started receiving positive responses from the audience.
New flavored dialogues too are being seen in the trailer. Catchy lines like ‘When you can’t change the girl, change the girl’ are sure to tickle our ribs. It is for the first time that we will see the serious Siddharth in a comic role. A lot is being expected from Dhawan as he had been on a break from making movies. Ali and Tapasee’s kissing scene on the start of the movie itself will be sure to add hotness to the film. So will his dialogues, ‘…Because I want to stick to your Lips’.
This rib ticking comedy is going to hit the theatres this March. The music has already been launched. Apart from these youngsters we will also see Rishi Kapoor, Sonu Nigam, Aditya Narayan, Jihu Chawla and Anupam Kher playing various roles in the movie.
