Message From The Team of "Kaptaan"
Assalam-o-Alaikum,
Dear friends, we would like to begin with a long overdue apology that we owe to our fans for not having the movie released or giving prompt updates regarding the movie over the period of time. There are lot of challenges that an independent film maker faces, not just in Pakistan but all around the world, because he's limited on budget and resources, and Kaptaan is no exception to that case. But with Kaptaan the problem wasn't just that, as the movie depicts the life of a man who's now is an active part of Pakistani politics for a long time, the reasons for the movie being delayed are so obvious that you don't really have to be a genius to imagine the hurdles and hardships we've endured. We've been ridiculed, we've been maligned and we've been cursed upon, but we never gave up and we never will, no matter how much people try to bring us down, we will always bounce back Insha'Allah. Although this was never a political project for which we've been accused of by various groups, let me remind you all, once again, that before Imran Khan was a politician, he was a source of pride and inspiration for all of us and on that basis we decided to pay tribute to the man. But as history tells us, we all love to see a hero fall from grace, just to remind that he's as good as us, yet this is far from the truth and history has also taught us that nations who do not honour their heroes, have failed to leave a mark in the pages of history.
In the end, no matter what happens, no matter how hard people try and oppose us, for their own vested interests, whether political or non-political, we will never give up, and we won't stop. Thank you all whether you wished us well or not. May Allah have mercy on all of us. Ameen!
The movie will be coming this fall Insha'Allah, exact release dates will be announced later this month. In the meantime, enjoy the trailer.
